ಆಗೋಸ್ತಾಚ್ಯಾ 15 ತಾರಿಕೆರ್‌  ಆಮ್ಚ್ಯಾ ದೇಶಾಚೊ 80ವೊ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ದಿವಸ್‌ ವ್ಹಡಾ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ್‌ಭಕ್ತಿಚ್ಯಾ ಸ್ಪಿರಿತಾನ್‌, ಮರಿಯೆಚ್ಯಾ ಸ್ವರ್ಗಾರೋಹನಾಚ್ಯಾ ಫೆಸ್ತಾಸವೆಂ ಸಂಭ್ರಮ್ಲೊ. ‌ ಮಾ|ಬಾ| ಆಲ್ಬಾನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜಾ, ಹಾಣಿಂ ಫಿರ್ಗಜ್‌ ವಿಗಾರ್‌ ಮಾ|ಬಾ| ಮಾರ್ಸೆಲ್‌ ಸಲ್ಡಾನಾ ಹಾಂಚೆಸವೆಂ ಮಿಸಾಚೆಂ ಬಲಿದಾನ್‌ ಭೆಟವ್ನ್‌ ದೆವಾಚ್ಯಾ ಉತ್ರಾಚೊ ನಿಯಾಳ್‌ ದಿಲೊ.

We celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with great fervor and patriotic spirit. The celebration was held alongside the Feast of the Assumption of Mary, making the occasion doubly significant for the parish community. The day began with a solemn Holy Mass, celebrated by Fr Alban DSouza along with Parish Priest Fr Marcel Saldanha delivering an inspiring homily. 

Following the Eucharistic celebration, the tricolour was hoisted in a dignified flag-hoisting ceremony. Guest for the ceremony was Elder people of our Parish Mrs. Apoline Rosario. The event was graced by Parish Priest Fr Marcel Saldanha, Fr Alban DSouza, Parish Council Vice President Mr. Lancy Rosario, Secretary Mr. Godwin Rosario, Sr. Supr of Mariagiri Convent Sr. Mable, Convener of all commissions Mr. Wilfred Rosario, ICYM animator Mr. Gilbert Rosario along with ICYM President Mr. Joslin Rosario and Secretary Ms. Lavita Cutinha.

The chief guests for the occasion shared their experiences and urged everyone to live in unity and harmony as one community.

ICYM President Mr. Joslin Rosario extended a warm welcome and introduced the guest, while Secretary Ms. Princia Lobo delivered the vote of thanks. The program was energetically compered by Ms. Jenisya Sequira, ensuring a smooth and engaging flow of events.
